The Junta DLC Announced for Tropico 4

(November 3, 2011) Kalypso announced the first Downloadable Content (DLC) for Tropico 4, this one called “The Junta”. The Junta contains:

> A new mission called “New Sparta”, which is a military-based mission.
> A new trait called Veteran which increases support from Militarists and gives El Presidente better battle skills.
> Several Junta decorations (like a small guard booth and observation tower).
> A new building (Bunker), which houses 6 soldiers without the need for any Generals.
> A dress outfit for the female El Presidente

The Junta Tropico 4 DLC is available now for Steam users and will be available November 9 for XBox 360 users and the 11th for PC users.

Joe’s Note:
The DLC probably should have sold for $2 or $2.50. But for die-hard Tropico fans, they will definitely dish out the $5. The thing I found interesting about this package is that everything was themed to military/junta except the dress outfit for the female El Presidente.  That probably should have been held over.

So I purchased “The Junta” DLC as soon as it was released and played it through. It takes about 90 minutes to 2 hours to complete. While that may seem short for a $5 DLC, at least the building (and dress for those who play with the female El Presidente) can be used in any campaigns or missions created for Tropico 4. In fact, I used the Bunker to help me with an online challenge today!

If you get it and play it, please take a moment to share your thoughts and your likes/dislikes in the Comments section below. Thanks!
